Radiant Floor Heating Systems
Radiant floor heating systems are one of the best ways to   heat your home.
These systems use hot water at much lower temperatures, than other hot water heating systems. The design temperature for radiant heat installed in a concrete slab is 95-100 F. Baseboard hot water heating systems use 180 F water, steam is even higher.
This simple means less energy is needed to heat your home.

Comfort
The added comfort with a home heated with  a radiant floor heating system is one that can only be experienced first hand. Radiant systems heat the entire living space and all surrounding elements. This warms everything within the space. You can take off your shoes and socks ( only if your feet don't stink ) and walk on the floors on the coldest day with complete comfort.

Solar Integration

Because the water temperature needed is so low, this incorporates very well with solar heating. If properly designed a solar hot water system can be designed to meet all of the homes heating needs. This of course is also reliant upon the need for the house to be very energy efficient.

Costs/benefit

The cost to install a radiant floor heating system is more than traditional ones. However if the house is designed properly and the system is kept simple the cost increase will be minimal. The most efficient and cost effective way to install radiant heating is in a concrete slab. This simplifies installation while adding the benefit of thermal mass. This not only reduces cost, but also increases efficiency of the system.  The added costs of radiant heated floors is one that can be simple justified in the cost savings of energy. Add to that the comfort and environmental impacts and it is simply the best way, available today to heat your home..

Radiant floor heating systems are standard in all of the buildings we design and build.

Warmboard floor system for radiant. Warmboard panels are designed to serve as the subfloor as well as the radiant layout. The preformed panels come designed for 1/2" pex tubing 12" on center. The top coating of aluminum acts as a distributor across the entire surface of the floor. This system only needs 100 F water to operate.
